Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera clash on ‘The Voice’

HollywoodNews.com: ‘The Voice’ had the final four performers singing last night, but the real competition seemed to be going on off stage as Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera got into it.

On the show, Tony Lucca, Levine’s contestant, ended up performing Jay-Z’s ’99 Problems,’ which was rumored to be a stab at Aguilera as she has been harsh on Lucca throughout the season, states RadarOnline.com. But Aguilera let it be known that she didn’t approve of the song choice.

“Your beautiful wife and your daughter and family are here tonight and I just thought, you know, the lyrical connotation was a little derogatory towards women, but all-in-all, it was good fun,” Aguilera commented.

However, Levine had to win the fight by clarifying why they chose it: “It’s called a metaphor … we’re not referring to women; we’re referring to everything.”
